Christmas brings out my inner child so I absolutely had to make a gluten-free mince pie recipe because what would Christmas be without mince pies? This recipe is also dairy-free AND refined sugar-free!
This is a great recipe to make with the kids – I am sure the time your spend in the kitchen with them will become a strong Christmas memory for them.
Makes: 12 mince pies.
If you have mincemeat leftover you can keep in the fridge for up to a week for a fresh batch of mince pies later, or stir it into your homemade Vanilla Ice Cream before freezing for a delicious Christmas dessert.

When they originated in the 13th century they were filled with mincemeat – mixed with alcohol, fruits and spices to help preserve them.
Before you take your fist bite – according to tradition, you must make a wish when eating your first mince pie of the season.
Best you get baking because ‘they’ also say that if you eat a mince pie for the 12 days of Christmas (from Christmas day to the 5th January) you will have happiness for the next 12 months.
