(Carrots, beetroot, pineapple)This is one of my favourite juice recipes for Mila. I can’t drink it though as the beetroot makes my skin itch – I think it may have something to do with the high levels of nitrate.This juice also make a fantastic ice lolly! Once it is frozen it really does taste like sherbet. And the colour is “spectacular” as Mila would say :)I like to sneak beetroot into Mila’s food where I can as it is a great constipation remedy and is known to cleanse the blood.Beetroot is also an excellent source of folate and a good source of magnesium,phosphorus, iron, vitamins B6 and C.
When making juices try buy organic fruits and vegetables. If these are unavailable, be sure to use a natural veggie wash to clean them. You may also want to peel the fruits and veggies if they are not organic.The quantity of juice made and the intensity of flavour will differ between a centrifugal juicer and a masticating juicer.
